My first week selling on TPT

Updated: Jan 9, 2021

First year teacher here. I teach Algebra 2 and Engineering at a High School in TEXAS! I've always loved making great resources for my students in class and decided to take the leap and sell what I was making anyways! I joined TPT on December 13th, 2020. I made my first sell the same day. $$$0.52$$$ BIG MONEY right?! Well, I was super excited about it and instantly addicted! Writing this 10 days later, and have already made $32! I signed up for the Premium Membership when I made my first $10. (If you make more than $5 a month- SIGN UP NOW) I have actually sold $52 worth of resources but TPT takes their commission! I'm not even mad about it.

I knew my content area and had was a pro at selling things on Facebook, Craigslist, Offer Up, etc... but not necessarily a professional at selling teacher resources. I've researched marketing, infringement rights, illustrating techniques, and so much more... So I dove down the rabbit hole. Watched YouTube videos, joined all the Facebook and Pinterest Groups, some Instagram, and am writing this post now. I am still identifying my "niche" but like my learning style- I dabble in a little bit of everything. I have even set up advertising (a whole $7).... and I will let you know how that goes on the next blog post! If you are still reading, thank you for coming to my TED talk. If you are thinking about starting a Teachers Pay Teachers store... do it now. Create, create, create, and learn from the best (not me...yet)!

Feel free to go check out my store! Please follow or leave a review if possible!
